Polk County District Court results, Feb. 1, 2023, Feb. 8, 2023

In Polk County District Court on Feb. 1, 2023 with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 77 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

 

Jeremy James Coffin was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Coffin was sentenced to 17 days in jail.

 

Kevin Christopher Garcia was convicted for failure to appear. Garcia was sentenced to seven days in jail.

 

William Bradley Hannigan was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Hannigan was sentenced to a total of 23 days in jail including time served.

 

Phillip Aaron Hill was convicted of resisting a public officer. Hill received one day in jail.

 

 

In Polk County District Court on Feb. 8, 2023 with Judge James Marshall presiding, 61 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

 

Austin Malachi Berry was convicted of Level 5 driving while impaired. Berry was sentenced to 30 days of jail (suspended), 12 months of unsupervised probation, and 24 hours of community service. 

 

Robert Bant Chenoweth was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Chenoweth was fined $75 plus court costs. 

 

Brian David O’Sullivan was convicted of a misdemeanor probation violation. O’Sullivan was sentenced to 3 days in jail. 

 

Samantha Lasha Penley was convicted of driving while license revoked. Penley was sentenced to one day in jail with time served.
