“We are excited to kick off planning for this year’s Senior Games,” said Julie Jolley, Senior Games Coordinator, Polk County HHSA. “The Senior Games are a great opportunity for older adults to stay active, healthy, and engaged in their communities. We encourage older adults to participate in this fun, inclusive event, whether they’re competitive athletes, artists or just looking for a fun way to stay active.”

The Senior Games will feature a variety of athletic and non-athletic competitions, including billiards, bowling, pickleball, track and field, and cornhole. There will also be a variety of SilverArts events including various visual, heritage, literary, and performing arts categories.

“We are committed to creating a fun, inclusive environment for all older adults to participate in,” said Haley Suskauer, Polk County Public Health and Senior Services Manager. “We welcome older adults of all abilities and backgrounds to participate in the Senior Games, and we look forward to celebrating the achievements and contributions of our older adults.”

The Senior Games registration will begin on March 6. More information can be found at ncseniorgames.org or by calling 828-894-0001.
