Weaver was one of 38 players signing with the Bears. He is listed as a linebacker.

“I am excited about the quality of depth of the players we signed,” said Lenoir-Rhyne head coach Mike Jacobs. “Bears Nation should be excited about the depth these young men will provide our program.”

Weaver finished his career as Polk County’s all-time leading rusher, accumulating 4,620 yards, and also totaled more than 400 tackles in his career. He was named the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Player of the Year and was a Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas selection.

Chase running back Marqies McCombs, R-S Central defensive back Trey Shearer and Patton tight end Randan Clarke also signed with Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday.
