Polk County District Court results – 12/21/22

In Polk County District Court on Dec. 21, 2022 with Judge F. Mercer presiding, 75 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Robert Scott Blanton was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Blanton’s probation was terminated.

Erin Elizabeth Esau was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Esau was was fined $10 and court costs. 

Hannah Kerianne King was convicted of speeding 96 mph in a 70 mph zone. King was to pay court costs. 

Leah H. Laplaca Crosby was convicted of second-degree trespass. Laplaca Crosby was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit. 

Forrest Clark Moon was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Moon was sentenced to one day in jail with credit. 

Sean Patrick Pegg was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Pegg was sentenced to one day in jail with credit. 

Stacey Baugh Sheppard was convicted of financial card fraud. Sheppard was sentenced to 18 months probation, a $200 fine and court costs. 

Pierce Andrew Tolley was convicted of level 1 driving while impaired. Tolley was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, an active senence with 40 days credit, a $200 fine and court costs. 

Joshua Ron Vanbuskirk was convicted of resisting public officer. Vanbuskirk was sentenced to one day in jail with credit.
