The early childhood period (birth-5 years) is the most influential for a child’s future, providing the foundation for a child to grow, learn, and thrive. With more than a million new brain connections forming each second, a child’s brain grows faster in their first three years than in any other stage of life. In fact, 90% of brain development occurs by the time a child is five years old.

“It’s a simple process to enroll your child,” said Desiree Magnant, the Outreach Coordinator at Partnership for Children of the Foothills. “You can sign up online at PFCFoothills.org/Dolly or visit your nearest library’s children’s department, where the applications are stocked.” Magnant participates in area story times to get the word out. “My three kids grew up with these books in their hands from a young age, and I can personally share how impactful reading to your kids can be on their success entering school with confidence.”

Help grow the number of children in our area that are accessing impactful books to help them grow and thrive!
