Rutherford Regional Health System held its annual holiday breakfast for all employees on Wednesday, December 14. RRHS leadership, including its chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief nursing officer, and department directors arrived at the hospital cafeteria before the sun came up to begin serving breakfast to all staff members, ensuring both the night shifts and day shifts had the opportunity to celebrate.

“We want to celebrate and thank our hard-working employees all the time,” said Tory Shepherd, CEO. “Especially around the holidays, it’s important for us to bring everyone together as much as possible, sharing in smiles, thanks, and fellowship. ”

Along with a breakfast spread and hot cocoa bar, teams also enjoyed holiday music, photos with Santa, and a special and somewhat mischievous guest – the Grinch.

“This year’s breakfast was especially fun,” said Jamie Hill, CNO. “Having our green friend running around kept everyone laughing, and of course, Santa added extra cheer, too. It’s always great when we can give our teams a chance to take a break, have a laugh, and network with each other and other departments. We’re all part of the same family here, and events like these are what keep our culture and working atmosphere strong and close-knit.”
