Wolverine Wrestling Club members picked up several podium finishes during the Mustang Stampede tournament held Saturday at Smoky Mountain High School in Sylva.

 

WWC competitors Efrain Rivera, Jaxtyn Virgil and Styler Blackwell each captured first-place showings, with Blackwell winning both the Middle School 145/152 class and Middle School 160 class. The latter bracket featured a semifinal clash between Blackwell and Polk County Middle School teammate Zach McCraw, with Blackwell winning that match by pin.

 

Virgil won Middle School 106 and also added a second-place effort at Middle School 113.
