Foothills Music Club December meeting includes traditional carols

The December meeting of the Foothills Music Club was held on Thursday, December 8 at Tryon First Baptist Church. Members enjoyed a program of traditional Christmas songs performed vocally, on piano, and on classical guitar. 

 

Included in the program were such favorites as “In Dulci Jubilo,” “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming,” “O Holy Night,” and “Ding Dong Merrily on High.”

The club is looking forward to celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2023.

 

Each year, the Foothills Music Club presents scholarships to young musicians in the area. Auditions for the 2023 scholarships will be held in March. High school students who reside in Polk or Rutherford County, or Landrum, S.C., are eligible to apply.
