Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

“If we were not here…the show would play to an empty house, as do all those falling stars which fall in the daytime. That is why I take walks: to keep an eye on things.” ~ Annie Dillard

There’s a country song about cheatin’….in fact, a whole lot of country songs about it. Well, Dear Reader, whoops, I did it again.

Yes, the truth is out. I cheated again on Mr. Coffee last week–after promising never again a few years ago. Let’s face it, old faithful Mr. Coffee’s Teflon plate was wearing thin, although he still poured forth my morning cup of coffee like a good guy.

Oh, the allure of shiny new promises! The new spiffy coffee maker arrived, and all I can say is in two shakes of a sheep’s tail it was packed right back up and kicked out in the cold.

Mr. Coffee, my worn-but-trusty steadfast pal, is back in his rightful place of honor on the kitchen counter, and I promise never, ever to cheat on him again.
