In Polk County District Court on Oct. 26, 2022 with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 163 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Hillary Ann Gillespie was convicted of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Gillespie was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.
Aysiah Monet Hannon was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Hannon was fined $30 and court costs.
James Richard Helton was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Helton was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.
Antwan Jamarrus Jones was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Daniel E. Logan was convicted of resisting public officer. Logan was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Ricky Dean McDowell was convicted of resisting public officer and 4 counts of misdemeanor larceny. McDowell was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $657 in restitution and 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
Colleen Pelz was convicted of a probation violation and resisting public officer. Pelz’ sentence was activated with credit for time served and 60 days in jail.
Jeremy Tyson Ravan was convicted of resisting public officer. Ravan was sentenced to 2 days in jail with credit for time served.
Jonathan T. Reeder was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Reeder was fined $20 and court costs.
Jamal J. Richardson was convicted of resisting public officer. Richardson was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
