Mill Spring– Barbara Ann Newton Dotson, 78, of Mill Spring, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2022, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Ninety-Six, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grady Christopher and Agnes Cantrell Newton and was preceded in death by two brothers Alfred and Homer Newton. Barbara was a machine operator at Broyhill Furniture and a member of Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Roger Dotson; son, Wayman Dotson (Leslie); daughter, Cheryl Haynes (William); brothers, Stanley Newton and Christopher Newton; sisters Reba Hudgins, and Jeanette Byrd; grandchildren Preston Haynes, and Rachel Wood; greatgrandchild Jasper Wood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Lake Lure with Rev. Ansel Pace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
