Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Polk County Girl Scout Troop 1819 recently donated cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and clothing to Steps to HOPE as part of their Silver Award Project. Qualifications to earn the Silver Award include brainstorming a community issue, investigating and conducting research to help the issue, and creating a plan to Take Action!

Members of Troop 1819 (Annie Nichols, Ellie Baughman, Carleigh Parnell, and Celia Pittman) chose Steps to HOPE as their service project. They designed a flyer, developed ways to share the news via email and social media, and scheduled 3 drop-off dates where people from the community could bring items. These things will help survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault who are residing at Steps to HOPE’s emergency shelter.

Thank you, Polk County Girl Scout Troop 1819 and congrats on your Silver Award! You are making a difference!
