Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Aug. 24, 2022 with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 66 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Steven Henry Finch was convicted of obtaining property under false pretenses. Finch was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Rebecca Brevard Fisher was convicted of resisting public officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Fisher was sentenced to 1 day in jail with credit for time served. 

Erin Renee Frantz was convicted of 3 counts of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Frantz was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation. 

Charles Sam Harrison was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Harrison was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs. 

Robert Jay Kanaby was convicted of unsafe movement. Kanaby was to pay court costs. 

Madison Rose Kelly was convicted of possession greater than ½ ounce of marijuana. Kelly was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs. 

Patrick Jeffrey Leroy was convicted of resisting public officer. Leroy was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served. 

Billy Junior Simpson was convicted of assault on a female. Simpson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs. 

Jerry Lewis Toney was convicted of misdemeanor larceny and communicating threats. Toney was sentenced to 7 days in jail with credit for time served.
