Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Aug. 17, 2022 with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 52 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

 Kyyona Chanel Chapman was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Chapman was sentenced to 2 days in jail with credit for time served.

Phillip P. Gee was convicted of level 4 driving while Impaired. Gee was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs. 

Issac Jordan Medford was convicted of assault inflicting serious injury. Medford was sentenced to 1 day in jail with credit for time served. 

Maria Ripoll was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone and failure to notify DMV of address change. Ripoll was fined $30 and court costs. 

Marcus Dean Wooten was convicted of resisting public officer, domestic violence protective order violation and first-degree trespass enter/remain. Wooten was sentenced to 36days in jail with credit for time served.
