The Artists of White Oak Mountain Grand Opening Show will be held during Tryon’s Fourth Friday event.

The Artists of White Oak Mountain Show was the brainchild of three residents of the mountain, while having dinner at Harper Eatery and Pub before an evening show at the Tryon Movie Theater. They were talking about the amazing artistic talent of some of the folks who live on Tryon Ridge, Skyuka, the Brow and White Oak Mountain.

One remarked about Hal Bryant’s talent in photography, watercolor and pastel, they mentioned he is a retired college art professor. Another commented that Kathy Clark is a highly skilled oil artist in landscape and abstract. The trio spoke about Donna Croft with her acrylic and canvas capturing of light and Chris O’Connor who excels in unique stained glass pieces. The conversation continued to explore residents of the mountain they knew, like Suzzanne Zoole, who paints bold and bright, Chris McNeill, who has a knack for Watercolor Batik on rice paper, and Skip Williams, with his unique crystal mobiles.
