Portion of Oak Street closed for sewer line repair

TRYON – Last Friday, around 6 p.m., the Town of Tryon notified the public that a portion of Oak Street would be closed until further notice due to a sewer line repair. 

 

According to Tryon town officials with public works, the repairs are being executed due to a sewer line being clogged to the point where it was considered to be completely damaged and unusable.

Traffic barricades were put in place just past the entrance to White Oak Manor and at the end of Oak Street where it meets with East Howard Street on Friday evening. 

 

According to the Town of Tryon, Oak Street will remain closed throughout Tuesday with hopes of reopening on Wednesday.
