Join Conserving Carolina for a free lecture entitled, “Whoo Gives a Hoot,” presented by Emily Walker and Margeau Lance of Chimney Rock Management, on Saturday, August 20th at 10:30 a.m. at the Anne Elizabeth Suratt Nature Center at Walnut Creek Preserve.

Owls are one of the most fascinating, but rarely seen, nocturnal creatures, but what makes them so special? Chimney Rock Management Naturalists will teach you about our native species and the unique characteristics that make them efficient predators and the important role they play in our ecosystem.  You’ll even get a chance to meet a couple of special animal ambassadors and see their beauty and incredible characteristics up close! So, bring the kids out to meet some live owls! This program is sure to be fun for the whole family!

This lecture is part of Conserving Carolina’s monthly Speaker Series at Walnut Creek Preserve.  Pre-registration is required. To register and for more information, visit Conserving Carolina’s website and “calendar” tab, conservingcarolina.org/calendar.
