The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played a Carolina Scramble on the back nine on August 1. They also had closest to the pin contests on #12 and #17. There were eight groups playing for the win. The results were as follows:

The Tryon Country Club Women’s Golf Association played a best ball event along with having a lowest putt contest on August 2. There were five teams vying for the win and the competition was very close. The winners were:

 

 

 

1st place – Peggy Henson, Lynn Morrill, Lib McKeller, (BP) Becky Kennedy – 32

 

 

 

2nd place – Ann Gargiulo, Brenda Hudson, Diane Torres, KarenLise Bjerring – 32

 

 

 

3rd place – Nancy Mahler, Katherine Weathers, Cindy Caldwell, Tracey Beaver – 33

1st place – Peggy Henson – 13 putts
