Tryon– Dorothy “Dot” Burrell Gosnell of Tryon, passed away, Sunday morning, July 24, 2022, at Autumn Care of Saluda.
Born August 28, 1954, in Greer, SC, she was the wife of the late John “Junior” Wesley Gosnell, Jr. for 41 years who passed away in 2021. Dot attended Tryon Second Baptist Church, as a member of the V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxiliary in Mill Spring. She loved to play Bingo and loved to watch the Braves play in Atlanta.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Jeanette Gosnell, and her beloved dog, CC.
She is the last surviving member of her family.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with Reverend Eddie Nicholson officiating.
Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
