Students in Kristy Cox’s first-grade summer reading camp enjoyed the hot weather with a cool treat from the teacher!
Students in Kelly Welch’s third-grade class at summer reading camp enjoyed reading Idiom Tales and then illustrating the figurative meaning of the idioms.
Fourth-grade students in Michael Darpino’s summer reading camp art classes enjoyed reading Magic Tree House: Mummies in the Morning, and then creating their own mummies.

A number of Polk County elementary school students spent part of summer vacation taking part in summer reading camps.
