Director Carol Cox reminds community that auditions for Pump Boys and Dinettes are around the corner

Carol Cox, director of the upcoming Tryon Little Theater production Pump Boys and Dinettes, wants to remind anyone in the community who is interested in being part of this show that auditions will be held soon.

 

Cox is looking for 10 to 15 people for the show.

“They must be lively, energetic singers, and although playing an instrument is a bonus, it is not required,” she says. “There’s some dancing involved, but more movement than actual dance steps, so I don’t want people to be put off if they think they can’t dance!”

 

Musical Director Pam McNeil requests that each person bring their own music and be prepared to sing 16 measures of a lively song.

 

The auditions will be held at TLT’s Workshop, located at 516 S. Trade St. in Tryon on Sunday, July 31 at 3 p.m. and Monday, August 1 at 7 p.m.

 

Pump Boys and Dinettes will show for one weekend only on the Tryon Fine Arts Center stage September 22-25.  Call Carol Cox for more information at 828-899-0225.
