The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played a 9 hole Best Ball event on July 11, along with Closest to the Pin contests on both par 3’s. The results were as follows:

 

1st place – Brad Rakow, John Schickling, Bill Kelly, Charles McKeller – 29

 

2nd place – Mike Bates, Reggie Kennedy, Rody Dayvault, (BP)Ken Shull – 32

 

3rd place – Russ Rabenstein, John House, Jerry Perry, Bill Basye – 32

 

 

4th place – Jerry Pospisil, George Torres, Donnie Carruth, Richard Barraud – 32

 

Closest to the Pin on #3 – Bill Basye – 7’ 6”
