On Saturday, July 16, the Arledge clan will cross the Green River to visit Huckleberry Ridge Cemetery. After they cross the river, William Arledge will lead visitors up to the cemetery site.

 

The cemetery contains 40 to 45 graves, most of which are marked with uninscribed fieldstones. There are several marked stones, with the earliest dated 1813 and the latest dated 1884.

 

The crossing site is 3.6 miles from Silver Creek Baptist Church. All who are interested in visiting this historic site are asked to meet at the Silver Creek Baptist parking lot at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 16.
