Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on June 1, 2022 with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 125 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Margaret Lutz Duncan was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Duncan’s probation was extended and moved to supervised probation.

Daniel Walter Horton was convicted of first degree trespassing enter/remain and breaking or entering. Horton was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.

Cari Rhea Hundley was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Hundley was fined $90 and court costs. 

Elizabeth Ann Lapp was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Lapp was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $30 fine and court costs.

Dustin Lucas McDowell was convicted of two counts of probation violation. McDowell’s probation was revoked with 29 days credit.

Paul Christiani McHugh was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. McHugh was fined $10 and court costs. 

Tiffany Brooke Moore was convicted of second degree trespassing. Moore was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs. 

Kyndale G. Potteiger was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Potteiger was fined $30 and court costs. 

Danielle Marie Ramirez was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a65 mph zone. Ramirez was fined $10 and court costs.

David Preston Rhodes was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Rhodes was fined $37 and court costs. 

David Augus Schneider was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Schneider was sentenced to 3 days in jail and probation terminated.

Chuck Gilbrty Shelton was convicted of flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance on prison/jail premises. Shelton was sentenced to 11-23 months in prison.

Gerold Trendale Smith was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Smith was fined $10 and court costs.

Harry Brandon Upton was convicted of littering not greater than 15 lbs and carrying a concealed weapon. Upton was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs. 

Brittney M. Urquidi was convicted of speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zoneand unsafe movement. Urquidi was fined $50 and court costs. 

Josiah Lorenzo Watts was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Watts was fined $40 and court costs.

Trent Scott White was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. White was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs. 

Ella McLeod Young was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Young was fined $40 and court costs.
