Members of Polk County’s football program earned high honors Wednesday at a Lineman Challenge competition in Chesnee.

In the team competitions, Polk County finished as champions of the first group on the 5-man sled with a time of five seconds. That team included Kole Powell, Reilly Yoder, Obed Najera, Colton Bradley and Gabe McGraw.

Polk’s entry in the second group posted a time of nine seconds. That team included Conner Cantwell, Caden Watts, Derek Griffin, Lucas Johnson and Conner Ledbetter.

The teams also took part in the five-plate relay, with the first group earning second and the second group taking fourth.

Other honors included:

• Bull Strap: Gabe McGraw, top Polk County participant
• Gauntlet Race: Najera, Bradley, Ledbetter
• Bench Press: Najera, 185-pound champion, 15 reps; Yoder, 155-pound champion, 11 reps; Watts, 135-pound champion, five reps; Griffin, 75-pound champion, 25 reps.
