Polk County Sheriff’s Office now has suspect in custody  

GREEN CREEK––On Tuesday, June 21, Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies were patrolling the Green Creek area and spotted a man who they suspected had active warrants.

Marcus Dean Wooten, 27, ran into the woods when he noticed the deputies.

Shortly thereafter, Deputy Dakota Thomas arrived on the scene with K-9 Jumper. The K-9 tracked Wooten for about 15 minutes and located his hiding place. Deputy Thomas took Wooten into custody.

Wooten was charged with Assault on a Female, Second Degree Trespassing, and Resist, Obstruct and Delay.
