Tryon’s most popular summer music series—Summer Tracks—welcomes Unspoken Tradition on Friday, July 1.

Unspoken Tradition is about new, original Bluegrass. They bring a sound that’s both impassioned and nostalgic, hard-driving and sincere. Their 2019 release from Mountain Home Music Co., Myths We Tell Our Young, debuted at #5 on Billboard Bluegrass charts and has seen five top-charting radio singles, including a #1 spot on the Bluegrass Today chart for “Dark Side of the Mountain.” Their music reflects the ever-changing culture of Western and Central North Carolina which they call home. The band has earned a fervent following in the Southeast, selling out shows in Asheville, N.C., as well as the legendary Station Inn in Nashville, T.N.

The band released their latest album, Imaginary Lines, in June. No Depression, the music journal, wrote, “Without straying from their Carolina bluegrass roots, the vocal, lyrical and instrumental variety on the new album is bound to appeal to fans of folk, Americana and traditional country music.” The band features Audie McGinnis (guitar and vocals), Ty Gilpin (mandolin and vocals), Tim Gardner (fiddle and vocals), Sav Sankaram (bass and vocals) and Zane McGinnis (banjo).

New View Realty of Tryon is the presenting sponsor for this 23rd season of Summer Tracks. Parsec Financial is sponsoring this third concert.

All shows begin at 7 p.m. In case of rain, the concerts will move across the street inside the spacious Tryon Fire Dept. Katie D’s N.Y. Bagels & Deli will be selling a variety of slider sandwiches, hot dogs, wraps, chips, and desserts. Water and soft drinks will be for sale. Alcohol consumption is allowed in the park but is not for sale.

Summer Tracks concerts are supported by donations at the gate along with sponsorships by local businesses and individuals. A full schedule, including performers’ bios and photos, can be found at www.summertracks.com.
