Columbus– The family of Tracy Armstrong Painter of Columbus, NC is saddened to announce her passing on June 11, 2022.  She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She left this world Saturday morning at Spartanburg Medical Center after a brief illness at age 57.
She was born to William Jerome (Jerry) Armstrong and Martha Ann (Rainwater) Armstrong on February 25, 1965, in Tampa, Florida.  She married William (Billy) Joseph Painter on February 18, 1994.
Tracy graduated from Dorman High School and was employed by Phoenix Industries as a lead.
Tracy was happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren, riding motorcycles with her husband, listening to Journey or Stevie Nicks, watching the Atlanta Falcons as an avid and loyal fan, and playing and caring for her beloved puppy dog, Zoe.
She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, her husband, Billy of 28 years; sons, Billy (Tiffany) Cole of Boiling Springs and Joey (Pam) Painter of Columbus; her brothers, Jerome (Tina) Armstrong, Scott (Teresa) Armstrong, both of Summerville, South Carolina; grandchildren Adrianna, Keaton, and Ainsley Cole, Malachi, Jonathan and Breanna Painter, Autumn Ciotta, Alexis Garland, and McKayla Merritt.  She will also be dearly missed by her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Claudia Painter; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Diana) Painter; sister-in-law, Joyce (Roy) Greene; nephews, Michael (Brittany) and Todd (Whitney) Armstrong, Vince Sexton, Justin Painter, and niece, Kaely (Correy) Spencer. She was predeceased by a son, Claude Painter.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 am on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Sanders Funeral Home in Columbus, North Carolina.
