Monthly event showcases downtown

TRYON––Last night at Tryon’s Fourth Friday event, Tryon Downtown Development Association (TDDA) joined members of the community downtown, along with representatives of the Town of Tryon.

Fourth Fridays are monthly strolls through downtown Tryon that are held between February and October, where shops and restaurants offer specials and live music, and extend their open hours.

TDDA had free T-shirts, hats, and koozies at the plaza celebrating their rebranding project. The Town of Tryon and TDDA have worked together with Arnett Muldrow, a rebranding firm out of Greenville, to “fully capture our unique Tryon story,” says Paige Henderson, executive director of TDDA.

The Fourth Friday event was a celebration of TDDA’s new brand. Henderson says they have also redesigned Downtown Tryon and Explore Tryon websites to represent the new brand.

Those sites can be reached at downtowntryon.org and exploretryon.com.

The Tryon Downtown Development Association works to enhance and preserve the community of Tryon by focusing on economic development.
