The community is invited to attend a series of baseball games and fun on Saturday, May 28, at the Harry Dallara Ball Field at Harmon Field to celebrate the memory of the late and beloved Stephen Dallara and support a great cause.  

 

The event will begin at 5 p.m. and will go until 9:30 p.m. The foundation will host youth baseball games, police and firefighter teams, food, a bouncy house for children, DJ Ethan Burns, and other games, as well as a half and half raffle.

 

At 5:00 p.m., there will be an opening statement by Adrian Dallara, Director of the Harry Dallara Foundation, followed by a welcome from Mayor Alan Peoples, an invocation by Senior Advisor of the Harry Dallara Foundation Sam Foster, and special remarks by Vanessa Dallara, daughter of the late Stephen Dallara.

 

First pitch for the  opening game, a 3-inning matchup between the  Boiling Springs D2 Dodgers and the Polk County Wolverines, will be at 5:20 p.m. Opening pitch for the 7-inning Police Officers vs. Firefighters game will be at 7:10 p.m., just after youth baseball players honor local law enforcement and first responders

 

Food will be available for purchase throughout the event, provided by Kirk’s Kitchen and Manzonlina’s.

 

The Harry Dallara Foundation is a registered non-profit 501c (3), and was created to help disadvantaged populations explore their love of team sports and outdoor play by providing and maintaining Harmon Field and making necessary improvements to facilitate the enjoyment and use of the park. 

 

The Harry Dallara Foundation would like to extend a big thanks to the Tryon Police Department, Columbus Police Department, Polk County Sheriff’s Department, Tryon Fire Department, Boiling Springs D2 Dodgers, and the Polk County Wolverines.
