Is it a crime to want to remain a Democracy, to fight to keep one’s dignity and national pride? Is it a crime to refuse the ignominy of being subjected to another nation, to refuse to live in fear under the rule of an oppressive foreign government? As a people, this is what we rebelled against to become a proud nation.

    

I wonder if, faced with today’s capability for annihilation, we Americans would display the same fortitude the people of Ukraine demonstrate daily? Let us give those brave people our support by welcoming some of their most vulnerable citizens to keep them out of harm’s way as other countries have already done.
