Mill Spring– Richard Sam “Ricky” Searcy, Jr., 57, of Mill Spring passed away on April
19, 2022.  He was the son of Vivian Jackson Searcy and the late Richard Sam
Searcy and husband of Kimberly Halford Searcy.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was self-employed.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly Halford Searcy and his mother Vivian
Jackson Searcy; five children Chandler Stanfield, Samantha Reid (Justin),
Kensley Hendrix (Thomas), Skylar Searcy, and Jodi Cantrell (Nathan); three
grandchildren Emma, Eden, and Jack; a sister Vicki Nelon (Ricky) and their
children Jordan, Alex (Hailey), Ross and Victoria; sister in law Sandra
Reid and her children Travis and Sarah and brother in law Wayne Halford
(Martha) and their children Josh and Chris.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022
at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the
funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. J.B. Godfrey. Burial will be in Polk
Memorial Gardens.
The family requests no flowers. In Ricky’s memory, memorials may be made to
the Calvary Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2501 Haywood Rd, Hendersonville, NC
28791 and Baptist International Missions, Inc, PO Box 9, Harrison, TN 37341.
