Scott and Carol Browne from Mills River, N.C. were in Tryon Saturday with a group of Airstream aficionados of the Carolinas Airstream Club. Parked along McCown Street in a long silver caravan, the couple welcomed dozens of curious visitors into their 14-year-old Airstream, eager to show off the sleek retro campers that have a reputation for, as Carol says, “the necessities, but done well.” They “always had Airstream envy,” said Scott. The couple bought their iconic travel trailer in December.
