What you need to know prior to attending

 

In preparation for the 2022 – 2023 school year, two Polk County elementary schools have announced a date for kindergarten registration. Parents and guardians who have a child that will be five years old on or before August 31, 2022 and live in the Tryon and Polk Central attendance area are encouraged to attend. 

 

Kindergarten registration for Tryon Elementary will be on Friday, April 8 at Tryon Elementary School from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the main office. Registration for Polk Central Elementary School will be on April 8th from 4 – 7 p.m. in  the Polk Central Elementary School Gym. 

 

A parent or legal guardian should bring the following documents to registration. 

 

• Birth Certificate 
• Proof of Residency ( e.g. utility bill, Polk County tax notice, rental agreement)
• Immunization Record

 

Additionally, a kindergarten health form will be provided at registration to take to a doctor or the health department to complete.

Saluda and Sunny View Elementary Schools have not released any information regarding Kindergarten registration yet.
