The Farmer’s Market Steering Committee determined that food truck vendors should be permitted on the property if the sellers have a business license and the area is designated.  Live animals (such as goats, chickens, etc.) are allowed to be sold at the Farmer’s Market, however the animals must remain inside of the van or truck and must not be directly on the ground of the building or parking lot.

The Committee discussed allowing dogs on the premises and it was suggested that as long as dogs are on a leash they be permitted.

After conducting research about rental rates at Farmer’s Markets in the Upstate South Carolina area, the City recommended the rental rates for the Landrum Farmer’s Market pavillion.

Rates for 2022 are recommended as followed:
• $225 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours
• $1,000 for a full day (Monday–Thursday 8:00am to 11:00am)
• $2,000 for half day (Saturday 2:00pm to 11:00pm)
• $2,000 for a full day (Friday and Saturday 8:00am to 11:00pm)
A $500 deposit will be required and credited against the rent if the Pavilion is left by the renter in good condition.
For special events, the City will purchase and provide 20 tables and 160 chairs.
The new Landrum Farmer’s Market is currently seeking sponsors.
According to the contractor over the building project, the Farmer’s Market should be complete by the end of this month.
