The Houston Road Community Committee (HRCC) has set their 2022 litter collection dates.  The litter collection dates will be Saturday, March 5 from 10 am to 1 PM (Alternate date, March 12th)  and Saturday, October 22nd  (alternate date, October 29th).

 

“The 2021 event was a great success and well received.” says Sherry Johnson, HRCC president.  “I would like to thank last year’s organizers  Chad Fisher, Adam Johnson and John Wilkins for being boots on the ground.  More importantly, I would like to thank the residents who came out to support their community by collecting trash on their section of Houston Road. It was encouraging to see people taking pride in their community as a whole.”

 

The community cleanup is also supported by Polk County’s DOT and Sheriff department.  Letters will be mailed to residents the first week of February.  HRCC is looking forward to working with neighbors to keep Houston Road a great place to live and visit.
