Chairman of the Board for Share Thy Bread, Pastor Bob Grant, says: “This generous contribution from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation will help our food pantry feed our Polk County area neighbors. Since Covid, we have been feeding over 1,000 individuals each month. We want to thank the Food Lion Corporation for this grant and the gifts of bread and other items which do so much to feed the hungry in our area.”

Share Thy Bread is a food pantry and outreach ministry that delivers food to families in need across Polk County. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and is a ministry of the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church. This grant will make it possible to purchase several months’ worth of food for clients. It is the goal of Share Thy Bread and the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church to make a difference in people’s lives and to impact them now and for eternity.
