With the support of a grant from the Polk County Appearance Commission, volunteers continue to make progress on the removal of English ivy, kudzu, bittersweet, Russian olive and privet from the Tryon Historic Cemetery.  Weather permitting, a group of hardy volunteers meet each Saturday morning at the cemetery for a few hours of cleanup.  The Town of Tryon has always been quick to remove the large piles of brush piles after a weekend of work.  The partnership is a good example of how to get things done, and how to make a difference.
