Columbus– Karen Ann (Shepherd) Jerichow passed into God’s Kingdom on January 8, 2022, after a hard-fought and courageous battle with Breast Cancer at St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus, NC. 
Karen was born August 7, 1957, in Rochester, NY, the daughter of David and Joan Shepherd of Pittsford, NY.  She was predeceased by her husband, Tom Jerichow, and her father, David Shepherd.  Karen is survived by her son, Joshua Schond; mother, Joan Shepherd; brother and sister-in-law, Ross & Heidi (Jean) Shepherd (CT); nephew, Zachary & Megin (Oczkowski) Shepherd (CT); niece, Kacey (Shepherd) & Brandon Way (CT); Grandniece & nephew Lyla & Landry Way (CT); and a multitude of cousins she loved deeply.
Karen’s family wishes to extend Special Thanks and Appreciation to all of their extended family members and friends who have done so much to support her and her family throughout the course of her many years fighting this disease.  Words cannot express her family’s gratitude for all the strength you have provided.  A memorial service will be held at a future date.
