Survey available for land use in Tryon 

TRYON—The Town of Tryon is seeking the public’s help in creating a new Land Use Plan. 

The document will act as a road map to guide the town’s growth and development long-term. 

Residents are asked to fill out a survey, which will collect data on residents’ opinions on issues including land use, community character, growth management, the local economy and recreation. 

Town officials say the feedback from the survey will help shape the land use plan and the policies that will stem from it. 

The questions on the survey include topics of future vision, such as what aspects of Tryon need to be preserved to maintain its character; land use considerations, including asking what areas the survey taker would like to see future specific development and how the town should approach growth in the next 10 years; opinions on housing in Tryon; and questions on transportation and recreation/open space.
