White Oak Village donates $3,720 to I Am Somebody

TRYON—This year’s donation from White Oak Village residents was given to the I Am Somebody movement.
White Oak Village officials presented the check to I Am Somebody creator Brittney Staley on Friday.
The check was for $3,720 this year.
Staley runs a summer camp for students, has social medias sites and does videos for the movement.
“My heart is truly full,” Staley said. “I’ve given my all to this movement. Summer camps, uplifting videos, positivity and much more. Today I walked in White Oak and met folks I’ve never met before. They had a check in their hands to bless this movement, which simply made my heart smile and tears form in my eyes.”
Staley said God will put the right people in your path if you endure and she and the movement are both blessed.
“Stay tuned, there is more to come,” Staley said.
White Oak Village residents select a nonprofit organization every year to donate money.
