He was the son of the late Tandy W. and Mary Sue Raines Tucker and the husband of Shirley Foster Tucker.

Buddy and Shirley enjoyed 58 years of marriage together.  He was a faithful member of Columbus Baptist Church and loved southern gospel music.  He was a graduate of Landrum High School and spent 4 years in the Navy (Seeing the World).  He worked at Landrum Mills for 19 years before becoming disabled.  He loved being outside gardening, walking on the beach or playing in the snow.  Dad may have grown old, but he refused to grow up.  He was a kid at heart with a big sense of humor.

In addition to his loving wife Shirley, he is survived by their 2 daughters Pam Burrell (David) and Cathy Cantrell (Mike) and four grandsons Gabriel, Jansen, Elijah (Morgan) and Mason and 1 great granddaughter Josie and 1 more very soon.  Also a sister Olga (Tug) Larson and a brother Jack Tucker (Sandy).  He loved his family very much, especially his grandsons.

He was predeceased by his parents, baby son, two daughters and four sisters, Addie, Dot, Ruby and Wilma.

Dad spent 2 1/2 years at White Oak Manor with a broken hip.  He called it home and loved the staff like family.  We would like to thank all the White Oak Staff who cared for and loved “Bud”.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Bobby Capps.  Burial will be in Landrum Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his daughter Pam, 1690 Landrum Mill Road, Campobello, SC.Condolences may be left at www.pettyfuneralhome.com.
