Pieter Kinne Terwilleger

TRYON–Pieter Kinne Terwilleger passed away peacefully in Hospice on July 11, 2021. He was born to Marjorie and David Terwilleger of Wyckoff, NJ in 1944.
He was a graduate of the University of Maine and worked in NYC as an Insurance Agent. He retired later in life to Tryon, NC.
His main hobby was his large train collection on which he spent many hours building it to perfection. Pieter also enjoyed all his meaningful friendships that were made in Tryon with the Tryon Hunt Club as well as the Tryon community. He was quite the jovial person who loved to laugh.
His survivors include his sister Marcia “Mickey” Hall of Warwick, NY, and his sister-in-law Helen “Bertie” Terwilleger of Lake Wylie, SC.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews namely Cynthia Churco of Brackney, PA, Lawrence Hall of Greenville, NY, Geoffrey Hall of Warwick, NY, Darren Hall of Westtown, NY, and Kimberly Love of Belmont, NC.
He is predeceased by a brother, David “Terry” Terwilleger, a nephew James “Jimmy” Terwilleger, nieces Susan Terwilleger and Whitney Terwilleger, all of Lake Wylie, SC.
A small memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations to Care Partners Solace Hospice of Asheville, NC would be well received.
