Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Letter to the editor:

I must comment on a recent column “Giving advice to Tryon newbies”. The writer first provides us with examples of how friendly and welcoming Tryon is. She should have stopped there. Instead she used the column to then air some grievances regarding new neighbors and a fence they have erected. She and others might not like the fence – but it is up. There was no need to make public comments that might negatively influence how others may think of these new residents – even before meeting them. Maybe that is how it is done elsewhere, but not how it should be done in a small friendly town like Tryon.
