UNION MILLS, SC–Creed Jackson, 82, went to Heaven on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at his home in Union Mills.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jackson Boyd, parents Albert Lee and Katie Stepp Jackson, brothers, Rex Jackson, Victor Jackson and wife Kay, brother in law L.V. McGuinn and sister in law Sharon Salyers.

Creed is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Robbins Jackson; daughter Melissa (Missi) Frady and husband Brent; grandchildren, Matt Frady and wife Shelby, Kayla Fortenberry and husband Josh; great grandchildren Will Fortenberry, Zebulon Creed Frady and Jessie Padgett; sister, Estee McGuinn; sister in law Wanda McGuinn and husband Marshall, Dale Wilson and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Piney Knob Baptist Church, 1534 Piney Knob Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with Rev. Casey Stockton, Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Brent Frady officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church, Union Mills, with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:50 PM prior to the service at Piney Knob Baptist Church.
