Columbus Fire Department trains to extract victims from vehicles

COLUMBUS—The Columbus Fire Department recently received training on extrication techniques. 

The A-Shift of the fire department received training on June 18 on how to quickly and efficiently extricate a patient from a vehicle.

The department used the resources of Jackson’s Towing, who provided a vehicle and the space to train. The fire department also had training from Lieutenant Michael Hermon for teaching the techniques.
