LANDRUM-Donna Gast Potruski, 73, of Landrum passed away April 4, 2021 after being hospitalized for seven weeks. Daughter of the late George and Rose McCall Gast, Donna grew up in Rochester, NY where she graduated from Nazareth Academy.

 

Donna and her two daughters moved to Central Florida in 1983 where she established herself as a hospitality professional in the world of hotel catering. In 1990, Donna married Dale Potruski and together they operated three bed and breakfasts, the last of which brought them to Saluda, NC.

 

Donna and Dale have embraced Landrum as their home for four years and attend services at the Landrum United Methodist Church.     

 

Donna is survived by her husband, Dale; two daughters, Alison (John) Vogelbacher and Andrea (Mitch) Cheney; two sisters, Lori Smith and Georgeann Cusenz and brother, Chuck Gast; four grandchildren: Jacob Vogelbacher; Morgan McNelly; Caelan Cheney and Camden Cheney.

 

Please join our family for a Celebration of Life to be held May 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Landrum United Methodist Church.
