Polk Sheriff’s Office to hold rabies clinic on April 10
MILL SPRING—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will hold a rabies clinic at the Mill Spring Fire Department on Saturday, April 10.
The clinic will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the fire department, located at 145 Old Rutherfordton Rd., Mill Spring.
The rabies shots will be for $10, including for dogs, cats and equines.
There will also be DA2PP and FVRCP available for $20 and microchips available for $10.
Pets must have a rabies certificate proof of current rabies vaccine in order to get a 3-year vaccine. Dogs must be on a harness or slip leash and no neck collars with snap leads are allowed. Cats must be brought in a carrier.
Spay and neuter vouchers are available for those who have government assistance, including food stamps, Medicaid, or proof of low income.
