CAMPOBELLO – On February 26, 2021 John (Jack) Michael Belden (of Campobello, SC) died at his home surrounded by his loving family: his wife of 63 years, Rosina Belden, his 4 children, David Belden (wife Laurie of Buford, GA), AnnMarie Pascale (husband Chris of Carefree, AZ), Michael Belden (of Trafalgar, IN), and Sue Belden (husband Phillip McAbee of Green Creek, NC). He is survived by his grandchildren, Kevin, Christian, Tommy, Jordan, Erin, Michaela, Samantha and Olivia and great grandchildren, Lucas and TJ as well as his sisters Diane Brooks (of DeLand, Florida) and Kathy Alber-Belden (of Quogue, NY). He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Patrick and Aletha Cleary Belden.

Jack spent most of his youth in Watertown, NY where he enjoyed many adventures in the Adirondacks with his Uncles.  He joined the Marines in 1953 and served in Korea. He always epitomized the courage and strength of a Marine. After serving 3 years, he came home and married his childhood sweetheart. Jack and Rosina raised 4 wonderful children. Jack taught elementary school and retired after 35 years, having positively impacted many young lives. After retirement, Jack focused on the many joys of playing with and spoiling his grandchildren who all adored him and his wonderful sense of humor. He will be sorely missed, but we can take comfort in knowing his suffering is over and he is happy in the arms of Jesus.
