Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Jan. 25, 2021, with Judge Kim Justice presiding, 23 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

The following persons were convicted of a crime: 

Shawn Patrick Lamberth was convicted of speeding 102 mph in a 70 mph zone. Lamberth was fined $102 and court costs.

Timothy Wayne Stewart was convicted of set fire to woods/land/fields. Stewart was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation for each count, 24 hours of community service, a $50 fine and court costs. 

In Polk County District Court on Jan. 27, 2021, with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 44 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

The following persons were convicted of a crime: 

Matthew Kelly Beheler was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance. Beheler was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs. 

James Richard Helton was convicted of uttering forged instrument. Helton was sentenced to 3 days in jail with credit for time served ad court costs. 

April Lynn Kearse was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Kearse was fined $100 and court costs. 

George T. McCauley was convicted of resisting public officer. McCauley was sentenced to 1 day in jail with credit for time served. 

Dakota Raine Screamer was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Screamer was to pay court costs. 

Angela Louis Walraven was convicted of shoplifting concealment goods. Walraven was sentenced to 1 day in jail with credit for time served.
